A definite WOW factor when we walked into our room. Top-notch cleanliness. Spacious! Wonderful location. Would highly recommend.
I was pleased with the Waterbury. The loft area was nice for our kids to sleep in with separated twin beds. There were plenty of pots and pans and quality silverware for our family to use. The beds were not too hard. Initially, there were constantly barking dogs in the hotel, but after a complaint - the hotel took care of that with the dog owners. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. It was expensive, at $350/night. However, it was the BEST option for the wedding we were part of nearby. I would stay again, but probably in the off-season when it would hopefully be a little cheaper. Front desk staff were friendly. I can’t speak to the pool quality as we didn’t have time to use them. I was VERY pleased with the mini-split A/C - it worked SO well for the first level of our room. Kids were a little warmer - which they like.
Very clean hotel, indoor pool is heated and hot tub is actually hot! Rooms are spacious and ghe front desk staff is friendly and accomdating. This will be the only place we stay from now on when we visit.
What a gem of places to stay! Great location, our deluxe 2 room was perfect for our party of five. We especially loved the ping pong table and so many board games available. Nicely decorated for the holiday season. The hallways and common areas seem to echo ever word, but the occupancy was low during our visit; imagine it could be loud during high season. Staff is friendly, but not as knowledgeable about local dining options as we had hoped (we were here during off season, so most dinning options were closed). We would/will 100% stay here again and recommend it. Everything was clean and well kempt.
Oh my! This is my new home away from home! We loved our time away at the Waterbury. It was clean, comfortable and centrally located- who could ask for more! The grounds are lovely and we felt a sense of peace during our stay. Management was most friendly and we felt welcomed! Can’t wait to stay again for another serene slice of Door County. Sorry we couldn’t stay longer.
We did a Thursday to Saturday stay and it was amazing. We had a room with a loft bedroom, a regular bedroom and a pullout couch. There were 4 adults and 1 child and it was perfect for us. A small kitchen was great for storing and reheating leftovers. The balcony was also nice for a quick pop out to get some fresh air. Our son's favorite part was of course the indoor pool and hot tub. He could not get enough of the pool. It was also nice to have a friendly competition of ping pong. The little gift shop is great for a souvenirs and snacks. We absolutely loved our stay at the Waterbury Inn and will definitely stay there again the next time we venture to Door County.
I’ve stayed at several different hotels in Door County and the Waterbury Inn has been by far the nicest out of them all. The rooms, pool and common areas are updated, well maintained, and spotless. The amenities, location, and staff are also fantastic. I would recommended the Waterbury Inn to anyone looking for a nice clean place to stay in Door County!
I definitely recommend the Waterbury Inn if you’ll be staying in the Sister Bay/Ephraim/Fish Creek area and want a place at a prime location with great amenities and friendly service! I stayed here with my fiancé and we were a bit nervous at first because we saw a recent low-star rating, but Waterbury exceeded my expectations. Some of my favorite things: + Great location, close to both Sister Bay and Ephraim with only a short travel to both + Very clean and comfortable rooms. We have bad allergies and they kindly made sure the carpets and bedsheets were extra clean + Reasonable price. Oftentimes many places in Door County on-season cost way more and you get way less + Helpful & friendly staff. We met the maintenance manager at the front desk one day and he was extremely personable and kind. He assured us if we needed anything to just let them know. + Quick service. Whenever we needed something (new towels, changed bedsheets), they took care of us in a very timely manner + Clean pools. If you know, you know. Some pools can get yucky with so many guests, but they do a great job maintaining theirs + Well-maintained grounds. I love the flowers outside the buildings! They really put a smile on my face and they are well cared for. Go ahead and give Waterbury Inn a chance if you are in the area!
